Listening to this audiobook, narrated by R. C. Bray, felt a lot like listening to personal logs from the Star Trek world. Mark Watney is stuck on Mars by himself, and he logs all of his activity during his fight to survive, but he does it with such snark and intelligence that it's completely engrossing. I'd say it was a page-turner if I had been reading it. The character feels so real that it's easy to forget you're listening to a fictional story.
