I have always loved Oscar Wilde's plays, so I assumed that I would enjoy this novella, and I very much did.
Honestly, however, the plot itself--with Dorian Gray growing ever more corrupt and never aging whilst his portrait ages and reflects his true nature--though certainly an intriguing and fanciful notion, was not what made the novel so enjoyable for me.
