Room is Emma Donoghue's seventh novel and a departure it would seem from her works of historical fiction such a Slammerkin and contemporary fiction such as Landing. Room, my first Emma Donoghue novel, was shortlisted for the Booker Prize in 2010. It is an intriguing, clever and suspenseful tale which I thoroughly enjoyed.
