Another one I picked up at the office...
This is a fine book.
Plot: Sara Fitzgerald and her husband Brian decide to artificially conceive a child that is a perfect genetic match to to donate to their daughter Katie. I liked all the different Points of VIew in this book as the story was told, and I felt so sorry for the young daughter. And there were parts I really HATED the mother. But getting you thinking is something Picoult does extremely well.
I read this book in two days (a rarity for me). There were parts of the book that felt contrived (particularly the end), but overall I really liked it and thought it brought up a lot of different and interesting ethical and family issues.
2.5 -- The fascinating subject matter could have made for a much better book.
