Beautifully narrated, well-told, necessary story about 25 year old Queenie, struggling to make it as a black woman in London. She has issues that she's not addressing and they do come to haunt her. But, somehow, with the help of friends and family, she eventually does better. It's an easy read, even though all the issues are not perfectly easy. I'm not sure this was the book that I needed now, but I'm glad it's out there because it's a good book that represents a story I haven't heard told often
