The rare book about an important topic that manages to not he didactic.
Sets up such a real-feeling time, place, and sets of racial/class/familial conflicts that also tragically feel timeless. The young adult point of view allows for the purity of a youthful but wise take on society, justice, and hope. Great writing and a fast read.
