The story is simple: weird events happened all over the world in fast pace and suddenly the world turned post-apocalyptic. In this New World, you cannot open your eyes anymore in the outside world--if you want to keep yourself alive. These creatures/things will make anyone that see them turns crazy, dangerous, and suicidal. So this young Mom, Malorie, has to stay alive & bring out her two blindfolded children to the world, searching for a sanctuary.

Dystopian/apocalyptic fiction but more of the horror variety. This is for certain a page turner and a very quick read. I only wished I could get the images of those silly Sandra Bullock memes from the Netflix adaptation (which I did not see) out of my head.
