Without a doubt, one of the most difficult books I have ever had the pleasure of completing. The thing is, I knew it was difficult going in, but was completely unprepared for the experience.
There are some truly brilliant sections of this tome that show Joyce’s genius. And there are some other sections that I think he must have had an open thesaurus, a typewriter with the keys missing, and a penchant for some interesting drugs. I didn't finish it...I'm sure that's like 99% of those that start it. Some of the sections were really great, and then there would be a tangent I just couldn't understand or force myself through.

This book was considered as a book to love. And I hated it. Really. It's thick and heavy and unreadable. I read/heard/saw many revuews saying it's great. It's not. read something else.
