Despite all the hype (Stephen King called it one of the finest horror novels of the late 20th century), I just didn't feel the love so many others did for The Haunting of Hill House. Hmm, I think I wrote a review of this and then overwrote it...whoops! Tsk.

Anyway, I am 94% sure I have read this before. There are details in it that I remember that were NOT in the movie...so I must have read it. It's decent...a classic, right?? No one is particularly likable, but I think it's more about the storytelling and the mood/atmosphere, which are hard to beat.

Anyway, happy to reread! =)
