Despite all the hype (Stephen King called it one of the finest horror novels of the late 20th century), I just didn't feel the love so many others did for The Haunting of Hill House. So what was the problem for me? First of all, it took a long time to get going. I reached page 127 of 246 pages before anything really happened.
