If you're a Lorelai Gilmore or Sarah Braverman fan, you need to listen to the audiobook version of Lauren Graham's memoir. Although she told some great stories, I doubt I would've loved this book as much if I'd read it instead of listening to it. Listening to her talk about Gilmore Girls, especially the revival, was so beautiful and emotional...I'm not gonna lie, I teared up a little when she was clearly tearing up, too. Truly an enjoyable, light & fluffy listen, with some really interesting ane ...more

I gave this a 5 star I think because I was so hungry for more info on Gilmore Girls. I have, of course, watched the Netflix reboot and it left me longing for more. If this book had not had all of that detail on the show, I don't know if I would have given it 5 stars.

It started out slow for me and it took me a bit to get into the way Lauren Graham does her storytelling. It didn't read as fluid as some of the other "stars" memoirs I have read. It did provide many laughable moments and I loved the

This was good if you're familiar with Gilmore Girls (or, I assume, Parenthood). Though it feels a bit dated now (and even if the whole premise of both Stars Hollow and Lorelei's backstory was incredibly improbable), I still appreciate being able to remember the show and some of the themes it explored. Lauren Graham seems lovely in this book, which she also read in the audio version. She offers a lot of encouragement but not a lot of new insight or even new behind the scenes stories.

Audiobook version: Quite a delight, with Lauren Graham narrating. Her voice is crystal clear, in spite of the speed, and has such a warm demeanor. Loved hearing the anecdotes from the beginning of her career - the bass story had me laughing so hard.

Not so much a biography of Lauren as it is the story of the second coming of Gilmore Girls on Netflix. A very good book for fans of the show.
