I didn’t get it. Maybe it’s satire, or allegory, or magical realism, but I didn’t get it. The first half of the book (the master) is messy; the second half (Margarita) is where it actually gets better, but still not to where it makes a ton of sense. Also, I really should know better with Russian literature at this point, but I just keep going back to it, even though I do not enjoy it.
