I didn't want this book to end. Lovely, realistic portrayal of an extended family and all of their flaws, an interesting plotline involving photography, a touch of mysticism, loads of great writing. So good.

What a nice way to start by 2020 reading year! This was the January pick for my real life book club and I am glad that we picked it. This is the story of Amina Eapen, the daughter of Indian immigrants. The story bounces back and forth from her childhood and high school years in New Mexico and her time as a young adult in Seattle in the late 1990s.
