What a nice way to start by 2020 reading year! This was the January pick for my real life book club and I am glad that we picked it. This is the story of Amina Eapen, the daughter of Indian immigrants. The story bounces back and forth from her childhood and high school years in New Mexico and her time as a young adult in Seattle in the late 1990s.

Nope. This one's not happening for me. I gave it a good go, but I feel like I'm being asked to condone some seriously questionable behavior, and I'm not comfortable with it. Nor is the story engrossing enough to excuse it.
