This is one of those books where the blurb on the back is terribly inaccurate. The blurb makes it sound like such a frivolous book "Oh, Mrs. Dalloway's planning a party! Hurrah! Let's enjoy the silly woman and her vanities."
First of all, the book is not just from Mrs. Dalloway's persepective. The perspective jumps from one character to another, which is a little disorienting (especially when it jumps to Septimus). Second, several of the passages of this book are like poetry--so beautifully phras ...more
