I usually find it difficult to review collections of short stories, because they’re often too varied or too hit-or-miss for me. This one contains a wide variety in style and setting, but very little variation in quality—very few misses here. From urban fantasy to apocalyptic futures and an alternate steampunk post-Civil War South, I thoroughly enjoyed this.

nice range of stories! i looked up the first copyright for sinners, saints, dragons, and haints just out of curiousity and it was 2015 so it's an interesting precursor to the city we became -- she's clearly been kicking around the idea of people with a fantastic connection to their cities for a minute
