I can't believe it took me so long to finish this book. Absolutely inspiring and beautifully laid out. I wish it had been longer, honestly. Some of the organizations are a bit dated (I literally winced at references to 3 Cups of Tea) but otherwise it seems still so relevant. I wanted to cheer for the women highlighted in this book and I hope to hear they are still successful and changing their communities.

A very captivating, although horrifying read.

This book has been truly devastating to read, but incredibly important. The use of personal stories, as is highlighted in the book, gives the most successful path to fully understanding the issues. It has made me want to step outside of myself and help others anywhere, any way that I can. As someone said to me who has read it, "It has made me feel bad about ever complaining about anything in my life, ever."
