this was one of my favorite books of the year. intricate, imaginative, and beautifully written, this novel took me on an adventure from which I didn't want to return. finely wrought characters, detailed settings, and a wonderful plot that wove together in clever ways I didn't anticipate added to my enjoyment and inspired me to give the book to others as gifts. it will be one of my all-time favorite reads from now on. ...more
