I generally enjoy Agatha Christie books, but I am not a fan of Hercule Poirot or (especially) Miss Marple. But I figured I might as well give this one a shot, given how famous it is. And it was good; not great, but good.
The deduction and the questioning of the characters was very interesting and I enjoyed how the story unfolded. What disturbed my enjoyment of the book early on was how Poirot figured out the identity of the murdered man INSTANTLY by reading 3 1/2 words on a burned piece of paper. ...more
