Everyone in my book club was right, never would have guessed the twists!! I had the detective pinned for something, for sure.
I enjoyed this overall although sometimes I feel with books like this, they try to do too much with the "twists" at the end. The end of this suffered from that IMO. I felt like the author was almost trying to be too clever with an attitude of "this is the big reveal, no wait, it's actually this! Oh my gosh you actually thought that was the twist? NO THIS IS" and so on. It was like fake out deaths in fantasy books where the impact is lessened each time a change is made. Overall still enjoyed it,

Wow. So many unexpected twists and turns. This was very well written.
Twist after twist after twist. Just when I thought I had things figured out, I imagined Riley Sager would rub his hands together and say “try this one for size.”
