This was my first-time reading Wuthering Heights. What a doozy of a story this is.
I'd known the famous line "whatever are souls are made of, his and mine are the same" was from this novel and it had me thinking. Heathcliff is an extremely complicated character. I went from feeling sympathetic for him because people like Hindley treated him so poorly/rooting for him to get with Catherine (because I love when the guy gets the girl!) in the beginning, to basically loathing him at the end.
