This book is my favorite between-the-numbers book. It's not as though there weren't other books in the series before Plum Spooky, but this one had me laughing all the way through. One of my favorite characters and ongoing jokes is in Plum Spooky. His name is Elmer, the Fire Farter. Ranger’s SUV full of monkeys was great, too. “Do you want the two on roof inside?
