Even though Charlotte was pretty unlikable, I couldn't help thinking that this book was very sweet. I thought the author did a good job of updating the story while creating new and different characters who reflect the spirit of the originals. I wish there was a bit less drug use for Charlotte though. I know its in the Sherlock stories and is a very real issue for modern teens, especially in a boarding school setting, but I found it distracting.
