JUNE 2024: So it's definitely not annual, but I get a strong urge to read this most summers! :) I bought a Penguin Vitae copy at a indie bookstore last year and finally got around to reading it. The introduction to this version is Mine Jin Lee, and I loved a part near the conclusion of her essay:

I read this book in high school and decided to read it again. Years later I still found the characters in this book to be shallow, especially Tom and Daisy. Looking forward to seeing the new movie version of the Great Gatsby, I saw the Robert Redford version and loved it.
