One of my favorite books I have ever read. When I was younger my parents struggled to get me to read anything besides comic books. Every summer I would receive a required reading list for the upcoming school year and this title appeared on it. My Dad brought home the book for me and told me I had to read it, no excuses. I found the writing pretty choppy and the story itself not that interesting. It seems incomplete, yet it wasn't interesting enough for me to seek out answers by reading the rest of the series. Parts of it were funny, and maybe the movie is better, but overall this was not a great book.

A thoroughly enjoyable book, practically devoid of meaning or anything making sense, but thoroughly enjoyable.
Technically a re-read. Stephen Fry is a treasure. Wonderful production.
