I think I may appreciate this book even more on a second reading. We just finished it for one of my book clubs. This is a very quirky, unusual book about life of the uber rich in Seattle. It also is about how mental illness can define a family, and children will love you, no matter what. I enjoyed it, laughed out loud at some points, was very puzzled by others, and overall enjoyed the way the story was pieced together by various methods of communications - e-mails, texts, conversations, etc.

This book is a very different format. Written in email, faxes, reports, and first person, it took me a little to get into it but then loved it. I absolutely loved Bernadette and Bee!

Even though the characters were catty and annoying, I really liked the style of this book. It was an engaging thriller about fairly ordinary life, without the gore or violence of similar mysteries. I would have liked a bit more of a conclusion, but it was hard to put down.
