A lot of the gestures weren't terribly different from how we do things in America but there were a handful that were quite different and had fascinating origins. My favorite is the licking the finger and smoothing an eyebrow when you don't believe someone and its tanuki legend origins. Might've been a two star book if not for the colorful photographs of some very colorful Japanese people. ...more
