a solid memoir - I enjoyed the recipes and empathized how Ruth felt about having to leave Gourmet. It was hard to feel sympathy though for someone who had to choose between living in her apartment in NYC versus her home in Upstate NY - but I'm a person juggling several part time jobs so I guess I'm a little snarky.

Lovely cookbook...combines Reichl's love of food and cooking, nature (book illustrated with lovely photographs), and Haiku.
