I can not believe this book was under fire for banning! It is the sweetest little story that really captured the conflict and drama of growing up and being in your teenage years!

Telgemeier has a beautiful style, and honestly, I can't think of anything wrong with this adorable story!

Reminds me of my own days as a drama geek! "Drama" wasn't as compelling to me as "Sisters" and "Smile", and perhaps I'm responding to the fact that this isn't a story straight from Telgemeier's own childhood (although I'm sure it's influenced by it.) In any case, there's a distance that I felt in this one that wasn't in the two others. Still, I enjoyed "Drama", and I'm curious to read "Ghosts". ...more

Didn't like it as much as Smile (hard believing these are middle schoolers) but I still like the way she tells a story. ...more
