Sometimes I Lie is a psychological thriller. The narrator is 35 year old Amber. The book takes place in Now (Boxing Day 2016) and Then (December 19, 2016) and Before (diary entries from 1991-1992).

When the book begins Amber is in a coma. We are told:

My name is Amber Reynolds. There are three things you should know about me:
1. I’m in a coma.
2. My husband doesn’t love me anymore.
3. Sometimes I lie.

I honestly didn't really enjoy the beginning of this book. We get Amber's thoughts whi

i liked the premise of the book. i thought the plot and the summary of it was pretty interesting.

until i got to the end.

throughout the entire book, i was just annoyed by amber. her character was whiny and i was under the premise that i was supposed to feel bad for her. in actuality, i didn't care for her. towards the end when everything was finally solved and figured out, i was more confused than anything. i sort of figured out what was going on, but i felt like her entire personality flipped o

I gave this book 5 stars because it really was an excellent book, but you really had to pay attention because there were quite a few twists and turns, I had to re-read the last part of the book, because I wasn't quite sure what happened at the end.....This is definitely my type of book, and I love all of the plots, but you may have to read it more than once, or maybe re-read a few chapters because in my opinion it can be quite confusing......But definitely a good thriller!!!! I look very forward ...more

I know we (the readers) are not suppose to rely on the main character. The blurb indicates so but this was all over the place. I am still confused. Not that engaging for me to feel like this. 2.5 stars

This book was one of my favorite reads of this year. I loved the fact that you knew she was lying, or at least hiding some kind of truth from you from the very beginning of this book. I couldn't stop turning page after page to try and figure out why she was in a coma, and who had put her there. I freaking DID NOT see the twist towards the middle of the book coming I was like what is happening!! I loved it! I would recommend this book to anyone who likes to be held in suspense, and enjoys those t ...more
