At first, it felt like I have been reading Madame Bovary kind of 19th century novel rather than a dystopia. This feeling continues pretty long in the book but later on it reflects a good dystopia of what could be a result of such conditions.
I really think that anyone concerned with what a theocracy would mean to our nation, especially to women, should read this for an example of just how bad it could get.
Maybe closer to 3.5 though
