fuck !!! i love everyone so much. this book means the world. I swear to god I just love every character and all their interactions so much. I don't understand how Leigh Bardugo made me love these characters so much. Like, they're fake but I swear to god they feel SO REAL. I absolutely love it when an author takes a rhythmic pattern and makes it their trademark. This was so incredibly beautiful. It just helps you fall in love one word at a time. There's something so intimate about not just reading *Have any of you wondered what I did with all the cash Pekka Rollins gave us?"

I absolutely love it when an author takes a rhythmic pattern and makes it their trademark. This was so incredibly beautiful. It just helps you fall in love one word at a time. There's something so intimate about not just reading the words a character speaks, but prancing around in the depths of their thoughts and motives. I guess maybe that's one of the reasons I prefer reading to all other forms of entertainment. You can't be so intimate with a characters existence, their likes, dislikes, fears, and flaws. And Kaz is one of those characters where you would like to wander his inner thoughts for hours. He is a character of complexity and ruthlessness façade, of false bravado and incredibly underestimated courage. But let's not get ahead of ourselves.

I'm really upset that this book ended the way it did. It wasn't satisfying enough, I wanted so much more. We need another book just to know what their so called happily ever afterward looks like! I understand that the word "loved" is used one time to many when I describe my feelings towards books, but the word like is simply not okay. Hence my LOVE for nithias, in the last hundred pages I had to close the book, open it again, reread the last few pages I had read, close the book again and crouch into a corner, too numb to even sob like a baby.

MATHIAS *wails incoherently like a wounded wail* why?!!! Whhhhyyyyy???!!! WHHHYYYYY?!?!
I'm still not fully recovered two days after.

The book is good in so many ways. First of all everyone is such a perfect shade of grey. There is no good or bad, just honorable theives. The beauty is in how a reader can be so easily swayed to sympathize with the morally corrupt. Seriously, I was rooting for them throughout. Nina is fiercely loyal and unapologetically bold. Inej is a broken vase glued back together with concrete and cemented with steel shards, yet a core of hope and warmth. Mathias was the definition of dependably decent, yet so frickin cute! And Wylan and Jesper were my babies! Six perfectly crafted pieces brought together onto a chess board made by The king of the barrels, Kaz Brekker, who played the silent king.

The book is exciting throughout, unexpected and unpredictable. You can't tell what will happen next, it's so delightfully outrageous. There isn't a dull moment in this book, the book moves so fast through alternating settings and so many new characters. Before I read this, I was contemplating reading the Grisha trilogy, but after reading crooked kingdom I'm so god I did. Although in six of crows there are only small references to the characters from the original trilogy, in this book 3 of my favorite characters played an important role. I just love Nikolai so much!

At some point I thought to myself that for a boy with aversion to touching human flesh and a girl physically exploited, how can they possibly get over these things so easily? Because as soon as the bandage scene started I thought to myself this is the part where it's going to get cheesy (not that I really minded), but it would have been predictable. It wasn't, pain was real and well portrayed, and they became ever more delicate. So much more ship in me!

All in all this was action filled, thrilling, powerful, creative and heartbreaking. It's everything you want in a book, but you still crave more. Like a good coffee buzz. And that ending between Kaz and inej. Oh I so hope Bardugo has more up her sleeve! Another trilogy maybe? One can always hope! ...more

Really really beautiful. I laughed so much, I cried so much and hell, how I enjoyed the plot.
I was clearly upset about a certain someone's death but I was expecting it. It's Leigh Bardugo after all.

Wow. I didn't know where this sequel would go; but my gosh what a wild and phenomenal ride! This series has fast become one of the very best I've ever read.

Thought you'd seen some impressive YA fantasy?
Re-think that move because Kaz Brekker and squad are literally changing the game.

Leigh Bardugo weaved and created an entire maze,a labyrinth of detailed plotwists and scheme's that had you going NO FREAKING WAY the entire book. She is an absolute genius. Kaz Brekker is consequently an absolute genius. The amount of times I thought their scheme had been ruined BUT BOOM Kaz brekker saw it coming. Incredible.

I never actually reviewed this and I am not sure it will come now even though I have a bunch of thoughts but putting them into a coherent review feels too much right now.

What I wanna say though is that I raised the rating of this frfom four to five stars. The stuff that annoyed me the first read through didn't annoy me this time, I just enjoyed the ride and loved every second of it. I love the crows SO DAMN MUCH and I can't wait to see their story in the tv show! ...more

After not reading Crooked Kingdom for more than 7 months, I finished the last 30% in three hours. Okay then.
This book gave me all the feels, and I didn't want to finish it, because I know this was the end and there wouldn't be any more stories with these characters that I love so much. Now that I'm done, I want more. I can only hope that if/when Leigh Bardugo writes that Nikolai story, they'll be in it, or even just mentioned (Kuwei and Nina should be in it, at least). ...more
