Holy wyrd. There are no words. I had trepidation going into the story but oh my god. Definitely one of the best books I've read this year; so much action so it was never boring. I could rant endlessly about all the epic that is this series but I'll just say that I screamed, I laughed, I cried, I closed the book in anger before immediately picking it up and finishing it. I got what I wanted from this, and what I didn't think I wanted, turns out I needed. But now I've finished it and I'm a vacant

EDIT - REREAD Oct.2023
Rereading this book after four years and it is still the same level of awesome as before if not more so. I will not be deleting the original review nor would I be reading it again because cringing at my old fangirling reviews is not a favourite pastime of mine. One thing I would say though, Lorcan... great character but not at all worth any of the obsession I clearly had over him.
ORIGINAL REVIEW - Dec.2019
NO SPOILERS whatsoever from any of the books in this series.

GOOD POINTS:
Not only I got MANORIAN and LYSAEDION, I even got a totally unexpected ELORCAN.
BADASS battle scenes - aka Lys the sea dragon. AMAZING character development from MANON.
Of course, ROWAELIN. But, right, I am not the biggest fan of this couple but I'm happy for them.
The thing I disliked:
AELIN. Her character is becoming more and more problematic for me. If it wasn't for that ending, I would be even more pissed. I mean, come on girl, we all know you are a queen/Fireheart.. But damn, she n ...more

Reread finished January 3rd 2021. That ending. I knew it was coming but it still got me. I didn’t realize it’s been four years since when I first read EOS and I forgot so. Much. I’m glad I decided to reread this. Honestly debating skipping over a reread of Tower of Dawn just so I can finally get to KOA. But I know how important it is to the story.
Original Review/Thoughts:
Im dead. Just dead. I don't even know how to process what Maas just threw at me. But I love it. I love it so much. ...more

I rose high on the hopes and fell through all the devastation that the characters felt in this book. The series is tying together so phenomenally well I can't begin to imagine how Maas planned it all out. The characters grow evermore and the battles become bigger, the stakes higher every time a new book is added to this series. I'm so glad to be a part of the fanbase as the books come out, it makes the wait so real and when you read you take the journey with the characters so much more, you've

The first book I've read in 2018, what a good way to start my reading year!
I feel like Maas is developing as a writer, I feel even more so for the character! At one stage whilst reading the book I was shouting, which I'm pretty sure made my housemates fear for my sanity! Elide, even though she's fairly new I've come to care for, I feel like she's one of the more relatable characters in the series for me. Manon as well, I've come to care for too, even though I was not fond of her in the early boo ...more

This was Epic, It was Amazing, It was Brilliant, It was EVERYTHING!
That Ending!!!!! My Heart... I can't Even... Ughhh
I've read the previous books in the series in a week so i can read this, and now that I've done that
I don't know what to do with my life anymore..

And to think that there's only one book left in this series is just devastating, heartbreaking.
And we have to wait a full freaking YEAR!!
