Is this book really that hard to read?
No, if you take it the right way. This books was not written to make readers like an specific plot twist or character. No! This book is solely the recompilation of various tales that happened in the world where The Lord of the Rings was settled in, from the beautifully written Ainülindale and the creation of Eä, to the end of the Third Age and the Fading Years.

Es interesante la historia, tiene buenas descripciones y es menos tediosa que la trilogía de "El señor de los anillos" (se nota que es más infantil), PERO me he dado cuenta de que definitivamente no soy fan de Tolkien. Sé que tiene gracia que haya inventado un mundo entero nuevo, con su lenguaje y todo, pero ¿es eso suficiente? No para mí. No me hace tilín. Es como el lenguaje de los de Star Trek (¿esos son los que tienen otro?). Yo estoy muy bien aquí en la Tierra, muchas gracias.

Me encantó, fue genial saber el origen de muchísimas cosas y me llevé muchas sorpresas, varias cosas creía que pasaron de ciertas formas y resulta que no. Mi unico problema es que todos los nombres se parecen D: de repente iba leyendo algo y yo así de: ¿este no estaba en otro lugar?¿este no estaba muerto? y resulta que me estaba confundiendo xDDD

Personalmente me pareció como la biblia de este mundo pues nos cuenta la historia desde el inicio del mundo de Arda y como aparecen el bien y el mal. Los elfos son los principales personajes. Explica en especifico una línea familiar de los elfos que tienen mucha importancia en sucesos como el viaje al nuevo mundo, la aparición de los silmarils e incluso de los anillos de poder y el anillo único. Así se entenderá mejor porque Aragorn en el futuro es el legítimo heredero del trono.
