I was in the mood for something supernatural to go with my Austenesque fiction and already had a love affair with this author's writing so it was an easy choice to join in a group read for this story.

Read for the third time. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫/5 stars.
Delightful as usual. I've enjoyed all of this author's P&P variations. In this book, the author uses Austen’s original dialogue in completely new situations, sometimes spoken by entirely different characters, which is always fun. From London, to Longbourn, to Kent…it’s a “spirited” courtship.

Phantasmal and Fantastic!
With over 80 reviews on amazon – at least 60 of them 5 stars, I don’t think you need me to tell you this is one excellent and praiseworthy Pride and Prejudice variation…But I’ll tell you anyway. ;) Haunting Mr. Darcy is brilliant, masterfully executed, and most deserving of all the praise it has received. So far, it is my favorite Pride and Prejudice variation I’ve read in 2014.

This book was cute and fluffy. Sometimes a little too fluffy, but that's probably a matter of preference. The concept was interesting and fun. I would have liked for Elizabeth to have taken a little longer to come around to her love for Darcy, but the circumstances of the story didn't really allow for it. The conflict was fairly low, and even the Wickham storyline got almost entirely brushed over, so I admit I was doing a quasi-skim at times to get to the next major events. Enjoyable for a few h

I loved Haunting Mr. Darcy! It’s a delightful retelling of Pride and Prejudice with a mashing of one of my favorite movies, Just Like Heaven with Reese Witherspoon.
The story begins on New Year's Eve in London, and Darcy has struggled since November, after leaving Netherfield, to rid Elizabeth from his thoughts. On the look out for a wife, Darcy makes a New Years wish to end his search and then at the end of the wish adds, “and to see Elizabeth one last time.” That same night the Bennet’s are at ...more

A book to treasure and read again!!
This book was one of those that I had such a hard time putting down, staying up too late because there was never a good place in the book to stop at!!! Now if there was ever a P&P variation is love to see made into a movie this would definitely be at the top of the list!!! Ms Mackrory is such a master at her craft, knowing just how to pull you in and keep you tethered until the very end!!! Oh and how she reuses lots of those favorite P&P phrases throughout the ...more

Even though the ratings for Haunting Mr. Darcy were high, I put off reading It for quite some time. I'm not into the paranormal/sci fi kind of books. How silly of me! Absolutely LOVED it!
