Our Review, by LITERAL ADDICTION'S Pack Alpha - Chelle:
--Actual rating 4.5 Skulls
The Silver Witch is a beautifully written Celtic fantasy with dual points of view. At first, the changing POV and tense tripped me up slightly, but as I got into the next two switching chapters I realized how fabulous that storytelling method could be.
The book, taking place in both present and far past with interweaving storylines, was - pardon the pun - bewitching and magickal. We get to travel the road of Tilda, ...more

I was so excited to start reading this book, I didn't even read the synopsis on the book flap - I just stuck my nose right in and let myself go for a ride. Paula Brackston does NOT disappoint. This may have been my favourite of her novels thus far. I am hugely interested in Celtic everything, and I love the historical aspects of this book. The imagery created by Brackston is phenomenal. I felt as if I was right inside the book, watching this all take place. I love Wales; it's a beautiful country

A magical story told alternately by two women, magically connected but from different times - a mystical blending of Celtic history and fiction that Ms. Brackston does so well. Excellent characters and plenty of detail in the setting and history surrounding the story - she makes it so easy to visualize. I've been hooked by her writing since I first read The Witch's Daughter - she has a natural gift for telling "witch" tales. I can't say that any one is better than the others as they all are told

This was pretty enjoyable. I love stories that weave past and present and this fit the bill. The main character was very unique and I really got to like her, and of course her dog. I look forward to reading the author's other books in the 'witch' series.
