I love the way the author writes. Very descriptive. I enjoyed the jumping back and forth between memory and present. I didn't really like the young girl apprentice. I thought she was snotty but I understand she had to be rebellious. The ending was great as long as there will be a second book coming out shortly. It was left open ended and the character I fell in love with.. I wished for a happier ending for her. But all in all I really enjoyed reading the book and finished 3/4 staying up very lat ...more

I really enjoyed this novel. I felt like I was there watching it all happen. I felt what Elizabeth felt and cried, wanting more for her. I could relate to the heart-break and torment she must have felt. I related to her love of nature and caring for people as well.

This was an excellent read! I thoroughly enjoyed it. If you like reading stories about Witches then this is a great one.

The Witches Daughter had me from the first page till the last.
Very enjoyable mix of historical, fantasy and modern times.
Can not wait to read Return of the Witch
