A little contrived, but right up the alley of Gone Girl and other suspense/mystery novels. Even with some of the things that bugged me, I couldn't stop reading it. It has a whole other level dealing with victim blaming and the treatment of women making a claim of abuse.

The conclusion seems to come quickly, and I was still a little confused at how it all tied up, but I was also rushing because I really needed a satisfying end to the story.

The main character is determined to prove that her husband has poisoned her and wants her dead. Told totally in the main character's voice, it is hard to know if she can be totally trusted and the reader travels with her during her illnesses (and symptoms of potential poisoning). There were times I didn't know who to believe and that need to know the whole story pushed to the end.
