Eleanor Olpiphant is completely fine, except when she's not.I read this book, just because my wife can't stop talking about this book.And I liked Eleanor. The other reviews I watched online were not fair calling Eleanor rude, racist,... Imo she's not. She's frozen in time, locked at 10 years old except when it comes to weekend, which she hastes away with vodka and store pizza just to get past the reality.

This might be my favorite book of the year. Eleanor Oliphant is not just another quirky character. She is socially awkward, sharp witted and most definitely not fine. This book slowly shifted my expectations of what it was. I don't think the jacket copy does it justice. I spent so much of the book tensed up, feeling protective of Eleanor and worried about how others would hurt her. Emotional read and very artfully done.
