What Members Thought
This book was just really sad the whole way through: there was domestic abuse, substance abuse, depression, neglect, death and grieving, orphanhood, and rape all in one book. The book ended on a hopeful note, but the story itself feels markedly incomplete; it was all the conflict and hardly any of the resolution. (I guess that's why there is a sequel. I'm not sure whether I'll read it.)
