2022 REVIEW: It was interesting to revisit this book post-pandemic. The early stages of the 1793 yellow fever epidemic in Philadelphia seem eerily similar to 2020 America: there were plenty who thought the plague wasn't a big deal, insisting that they continue going about their lives, and there were people whose hospitality and humanity were replaced by fear.
