A bit darker, especially for the first half, than the first two in the trilogy. I enjoyed it, although I felt the ending, despite being quite well resolved, felt a little weak - but I can’t say why I feel like that.
I don’t think all my questions along the way were answered, but it’s an interesting enough ride that I don’t actually mind!
I am amazed, as always, at the way that the author can work the weird and wonderful photos he has into his story - and how he comes up with such fantastical ideas ...more

I thought this book was good. It kept me guessing and wanting to figure out what was going to happen. Usually I don't end up liking the third books in series but this one I did, it kept on par with the first two. I thought the ending was good at first I was worried as I got towards it and was happy with how it ended.
