Meh meh meh. Multigenerational family drama. If Dances With Wolves and Jonathan Franzen had a baby. IM BORED.
I gave this the old college try, I really did...but after reading nearly 150 pages, I just couldn't keep going. The POV shifts so often that each character seems lacking in terms of substance and could have been developed more. I was also frequently confused about what the hell was going on when I switched to the Peter character...and the J.A. sections weren't much clearer. Meyer's first novel, American Rust, was much better and seemed much more suited to his talents. This just felt forced and a
