Initially I really liked this book and Evelyn. I liked how strong she was while she pursued her goals. But as it went on, I started losing interest because it seemed like the same storyline being repeated. I thought this was going to be more serious than it was. It was entertaining at times but because I was bored the rest of the time, I don’t know if I’ll read any of her other books.

I saw this everywhere but somehow managed to escape any of the details except that it was about an old Hollywood starlet. This normally wouldn’t have been enough to capture my interest, but then my sister read and recommended it so I gave it a shot.

It was a quick, entertaining read. I’d pick up another by the author.

Pardon the pun, but just too much shallow drama for me.

What a fun book. I think it’s no surprise that this book discusses major LGTBQ struggles. What I wasn’t expecting was such a clearer understanding of being bisexual. I thought that I understood what they meant, but this book really wanted to make the definition clear and I think that was accomplished. Not many jaw dropping moments, but you will know when you reach the big one... perfectly timed! Highly recommend this historical fiction/romance!
