I remember being really really into some movie versions of Alice when I was little (maybe because I loved the idea of little cakes and drinks that change your height), but as an adult I can't decide how I feel about it. In some ways, I see and appreciate how completely groundbreaking and innovative the book is, and it's really amazing how this has permeated our culture. On the other hand, reading it feels quite a bit like a fever dream, which isn't my favorite.

I am unable to objectively say if this is a good book or not, because it is an iconic book to me, and will always be a good book to me.
