Asimov's classic hard science fiction story collection gives us the iconic Three Laws of Robotics, so often referenced in popular culture. The stories are mostly logic puzzles designed to explore the interactions of the three laws and the consequences of their conflict. In most of them our intrepid robopsychologist and engineers are trying to solve cases of errant robot behavior; they are essentially debugging the three laws, or testing, as it were.
