I have read and enjoyed this before but this time I listened to it on audio. I was not impressed by the audio I found the narrator unconvincing and there were times when i had to replay parts to make sure i heard everything. The story still stands up well but the problems with the audio reduced that enjoyment

This is classified as a horror and while it has no real body horror or jump scares, I would classify this as one of the earliest psychological horrors. I felt sorry for Dorian up to a certain part, but then I could see his descent into madness or evilness, or whatever you want to call it. He was certainly a weak person seemingly in both mind and body. I thought the "devil" had to be Lord Henry. He was experimenting with Dorian! Incredible. Incredibly horrible!
