Wow is all I have to say about The Picture of Dorian Gray. I didn't think I would like this book and I was pleasantly surprised with this book. This is the first book I have ever read by Oscar Wilde.
The writing in the book was wonderful. The characters words just flow like music as you read the book. I found myself not wanting to put the book down as I was reading. La primera vez que lo leí, hace ya algunos años no me había parecido ni bueno ni malo, en realidad sólo recordaba la historia en general, pero no los detalles. También lo había leído en español, y creo que la traducción estaba no tan bien hecha. I must admit that I find the dialogue of Lord Henry Wotton a bit pseudo-filosofic, and not incredibly deep. Phenomenally well written, though. The sympathy of the ruined people in Mr. Grey's wake doesn't really strike you, as you never really knew them before.
