For being only 90 pages, there's a lot of story in here. But also not as much as I would have liked. I know it's the first in a trilogy so obviously there's more to it, but I'm not sure why such short works were separated into three volumes.

This is not my normal genre but I really enjoyed this sci fi/ fantasy novel. The description is wonderful and brings out the ability to visualize the scenes. The characters are a mix of both human and extra terrestrial. This is the first in a series and it sets up an interesting premise and characters with an intriguing relationship that will be interesting to see if it develops as the series progresses. Binti is a strong willed and determined young woman who is very intelligent and a role model
