This book blew me away. I really don't know how to review it objectively. I just loved it. I love Malala and the things she stands for. I admire the work that she and her family have done, and the courage with which they did it. I enjoyed learning so much about Pakistan's history, legends, various cultures, scenery, etc. I'm sure if you already know a lot of about Pakistan, those sections may drag for you. She opened my eyes to the struggles faced by the innocent people, especially in Pakistan, who are caught up in corrupt governments and political issues. ...more

I read this out loud to Isabelle. I think it surprised her that in the world today there are girls who are denied an education. It was eye opening for her and a great discussion.
